Organise categories and online visibility
Categories make products easier to browse. Online category visibility is inherited: when a parent category is hidden online, its child categories and products are effectively hidden from the storefront.
Steps
- Create a clear top-level category for a family of products.
- Add subcategories only where they make browsing simpler.
- Assign each product to the most useful category.
- Review online visibility for the category hierarchy before expecting products to appear in the storefront.
