Open a shift

Open a shift before taking sales so UjuziPOS can track the cash responsibility for that terminal.

Steps

  1. Unlock the assigned terminal with your own POS PIN.
  2. Choose Open Shift.
  3. Count the physical opening float and record the amount actually in the drawer.
  4. Confirm the details before starting sales.

What happens next

At close, count the drawer and compare it with the system’s expected cash. Card and M-Pesa collections are not physical drawer cash.
